Computing

According to Wikipedia, computing is usually defined as the activity of using and developing computer technology, computer hardware, or software. In other words, it is the computer-specific part of information technology.

In relation to our New Media course, I think computing directly relates to the development of media. Over time media has evolved dramatically. For example HD picture quality gives an audience a view of the picture that was previously unavailable. Also, devices such as the telephone and computer have developed into the multi-tasking devices that we use today.

    You say computing relates to the development of new media, but you haven't made it clear how it relates.

    Computing has had a tremendous affect on the world. Computing allows for new products to arise and creates quicker and more efficient versions of the technology products we already own.
