"Electronic" is a term that describes devices that are powered by electricity. An electronic device is often constructed by the use of electric components that make it possible for the flow of electricity to pass through. Televisions are examples of an "electronic" device because it is constructed with electric components that allow electricity to flow through.
Light bulbs on the other hand, can be both electric and electronic because it can both receive the flow of electricity and is also the origin of the completed function of the electronic aspect of the device.
In association with our New Media class, we sit in front Mac computers during class. They are considered electronic because they help with the flow of electricity. Most of the components used in media today are considered electronic devices, such as cell phones, laptops, ipods because they operate with the use of an electric component- a battery.

I wasn't sure how he explained the answer at all, but apparently being from Bangladesh means he knows the difference. Who knows.
